Members of an exclusive UK gym chain have accused it of discriminating against men after it introduced women-only spa sessions at peak evening hours without consultation, citing religious concerns of some female members.

Male members at David Lloyd Purley in Croydon, Greater London, accused the £200-a-month gym of 'discrimination' after it kept women-only spa sessions from 6pm to 8pm on Thursdays, introduced in early October for religious reasons, despite a member survey in which 75 per cent of 82 respondents backed restoring mixed access.
