Royal Horse Artillery Soldier Dies After Fall at Windsor Horse Show
A soldier from the Royal Horse Artillery died on May 15, 2026, after falling from a horse at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, an event attended by King Charles III. The incident occurred at approximately 7pm, and despite immediate medical treatment at the scene, the soldier was pronounced dead. Thames Valley Police is investigating the death as unexplained but non-suspicious, working alongside the Ministry of Defence, the Defence Accident Investigation Branch, and HPower. The Royal Windsor Horse Show will continue as planned, though the scheduled display by The King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery has been cancelled.
