A teenager who died from a catastrophic epileptic seizure donated his organs to save three people, fulfilling his wish to help others after being inspired by a school assembly about organ donation.

Patrick Leonard, 18, from Weybridge, Surrey, donated his organs after dying from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) due to Temporal Lobe Epilepsy on August 26, 2025; his lungs went to a man in his 20s and his kidneys to a man in his 40s and a woman in her 50s, inspired by headteacher Peter Martin who spoke about donating bone marrow through Anthony Nolan.
